Obituary for Carla Lorraine Freeman
Ms. Carla Lorraine Freeman,48, of Conway, Arkansas passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018. She was born to the late Levern Freeman, Sr. and Posey White-Freeman on December 13, 1969 in Lake Village, AR.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, two (2) sisters: Martha White and Yvonne Freeman; four (4) brothers: Jones White, Alfred Freeman, Don White and Levern Freeman, Jr.
Carla accepted the Lord as her Savior at the age of 14 and was baptized at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lake Village, Arkansas.
Carla attended Lake Village public schools and played the Flute in the Lakeside High School Marching Band. She was a 1988 graduate from Lakeside High. She attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and worked in the Home Health field for many years. In 1997, she moved to Conway, Arkansas and worked at Virco Manufacturing Corp until she became a housewife. In 2015, she worked as a Pet Groomer for the Estate of Robert and Patricia Cogbell of Conway, Arkansas until her health failed.
Carla loved animals from an early age, especially cats and dogs. As a child she had a cat she named Mama Cat. She spoiled that cat and all of her offspring's and she expected her family members to do the same. She has two (2) Shih Tzu’s, Sissy and Wonderer. Above all she loved her husband Loyce, whom she married in 2005 and her children. But, the light of her life was her granddaughter who she affectionately called her Pot of Gold. Carla was very outgoing and most outspoken. She would say what was on her mind. She was a very good cook, like her mother. She always enjoyed fellowshipping with friends and family. She will be dearly missed.
Carla leaves to cherish her memories her husband of thirteen (13) years, Loyce Love; one (1) daughter: Kiara M. Freeman of Phoenix, AZ; three (3) sons: Keith M. Freeman, Kyle M. Freeman and Kyren M. Freeman all of Conway, AR; one (1) granddaughter: Amiyah K. Cain; four (4) brothers: Nelson White, Jr. of Chicago, IL, Dewayne White of Los Angeles, CA, Cedric Freeman (Tiffany) of Little Rock, AR and Bobby Earl Freeman of Maumelle, AR; five (5) sisters: Madora White of Chicago, Il, Patricia White of Kansas City, KS, Laura Ann Freeman of Little Rock, AR, Tarsha Freeman-Armour (Gerard) and Barbara Dixon all of Lake Village, AR. She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.
Services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, September 14, 2018 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 314 S. Lakeshore Drive, Lake Village, AR. Visitation 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment St. Isadore Cemetery in Lake Village, AR.
