Obituary for Arletha O. Curry
Mrs. Arletha O. Curry, 97 of Little Rock, Arkansas departed this life on Friday June 29, 2018. She was born in Choctaw, Oklahoma to the late Jessie Dayton and John Wesley on April 1, 1921.
As a member of St. Mark Baptist Church for over 70 years, she served as a Sunday School teacher. She was a graduate of Velvatex Beauty College as a Cosmetologist. She and her husband owned and operated Curry Cleaners in Little Rock for 60 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Horace Curry, Sr. and daughter-in-law Rheba Curry.
She is survived by one son, Horace Curry, Jr. of Conway; two grandchildren, Arletha M. Curry-Carey of Little Rock; Arlinda Curry-Blakely of Sherwood, AR; One great-grandson, Aiden Carey of Little Rock and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, July 6, 2018 at St. Mark Baptist Church, 5722 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, AR. Visitation 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm Thursday, July 5, 2018 at funeral home. Interment Haven of Rest Cemetery in Little Rock, AR.
